Your "Home State" is determined by the state that issued your current, valid driver's license.
You cannot practice in your new home state with a compact privilege for more than 60 days after moving to the new home state. It is strongly recommended that you apply for a license by endorsement/reciprocity in the new home state PRIOR to moving.
The information below contains the fees and jurisprudence requirements needed to get a compact privilege in the state(s) you selected.
You should answer 'Yes' if the state(s) do not have a jurisprudence exam or if the jurisprudence exam can be passed after purchasing the compact privilege.

Since you are active duty military or a spouse of an active duty military member, you are eligible for a Compact Privilege since you hold a valid PT or PTA license in your Home of Record, PCS location, and/or State of Current Residence. You will need to provide documentation supporting your military status and home state.
Documentation can be uploaded to ptcompact.org/military.
Examples of supporting documents for military status include (1) marriage license/certificate; (2) military ID; (3) Current PCS order.
Examples of supporting documents for home state include (1) DD Form 4 (Enlistment/Reenlistment Document); (2) DD Form 2058 (State of Legal Residence Certificate); (3) Current driver's license; (4) Current PCS order.
In order to purchase Compact Privileges your home state must be an active PT Compact state.
In order to purchase Compact Privileges you must have a valid PT or PTA license in your home state or be an active military member/military member spouse and have a current valid PT or PTA license in the same state as your Home of Record, PCS, or State of Current Residence.
Having any disciplinary actions within the last 2 years makes you ineligible for Compact Privileges.
Having any encumbrances or limitations on your license(s) makes you ineligible for Compact Privileges.
Based on your answers, you will be eligible in your selected states once you pass the required state jurisprudence exam. You can find information on the exams for each state below.
To take advantage of the home state flexibility for active duty military or military spouses, your Home of Record, PCS location, and/or State of Current Residence must be one of the states listed.
